Meggie's Friends

Laura
Laura is actually my little sister but if I don't mention her, she'll get mad at me and trust me you don't wanna get her mad. Bad things will happen. She doesn't really like it when I call her my little sister since she's only a year and a half younger than me. Right now she's finishing up her degree at Penn State and I go up there to visit from time to time. Whenever she's riding in a car she likes to scare people that pass us. One time she was eating a bag of gummy bears when we pulled up at a red light. She stuck the bag out the window and asked the people next to us if they wanted any. That's just the kind of person she is. If you happen to visit her website, don't believe everything she says, especially the stuff about me. I'm not a mean person, really!

Mandie
Mandie has been a good friend to me and Laura for many years now. She has been with us so much that she's like my other sister. She is one of the sweetest people I know and a trusting and loyal friend. She is always willing to lend a helping hand, even if she knows we're doomed for disaster (like making a cake with me and Kelly!) We first met when she moved into the house next to our church. Now she lives in an apartment by herself but hopefully that will change soon now that she's engaged to Jamie. Look out for another wedding soon! She always goes on crazy road trips with us, or we have lots of fun just cruising around town. On our latest adventure, we went up to Penn State for her 21st birthday. Mandie is an aspiring writer and already has some of her poems published.

Bernardo
I first met Bernardo during Christmas break of my freshman year in college. I was at the mall with a bunch of friends and at one point I was just sitting on a bench minding my own business. Then some strange person that I didn't know sat next to me and said, "Hi Meghan, how are you?" I just looked over at him and replied, "Who the hell are you???" Fortuanately, Bernardo appreciated my strange sense of humor. He said to me, "I'm Brian Vavra, we went to high school together." Well, I still had no idea who he was but we became good friends since then. Bernardo has joined the army and was sent off to Iraq. Hopefully we'll have him back very soon. He is also engaged to a very sweet girl named Whitney so good luck to the two of them, even though they don't need it.

Bernardo and Sexy Nick Taylor

Nick
Nick has been a good friend for quite a while now. We first met on a youth group mission trip in Phillipi, WV. We've had a lot of fun times over the past few years, one of the funniest being the "turnpike incident". You can read all about it at Bernardo's page. Another good story is the first time that I heard the phrase "You'll have that." It was on spring break my freshman year. Nick, Bernardo, Josh, and I were on our way back to Josh's place in Smithton and the roads were quite slippy. We were on some back roads and the car was sliding all over the place. At one point we lost control of the car and Bernardo, Josh, and I were screaming as we went sliding into a tree. Fortunately, we hit a snow bank and the car stopped directly in front of the tree. We looked at the tree in amazement, feeling lucky to survive. Except for Nick... he remained completely calm the whole time. He just sat there and said "You'll have that", put the car in reverse, and we safely made it back.
